HTTP Flood Attack
With this type of attack, while among the simplest types of attacks, simplicity does not in any way reduce its dangers. It is built on the use of so-called botnets, i.e. computer networks, or smart devices that have been controlled by a malicious code. However, this type of attack can also be led even from individual stations. An HTTP Flood Attack is one of the invasive attacks targeted primarily on web server services. An attacker sends a large number of legitimate HTTP GET packets in this type of attack, trying to maximize the resources of the target system. The result is a decrease in performance, an increase in response, and sometimes even server unavailability.
